This photograph was taken at the Denver Botanical Gardens in Colorado. The lotus flower was growing in a pond with different types of lilies. I used a fractalius filter to create a glowing effect.
I entered this image into the 2013 Lone Tree Photographic Art Show and Sale in Lone Tree, Colorado. This contest had entries from many of the 50 states in the U.S. Out of 606 entries, only 93 images were selected to be in the show. This image won honorable mention in the Digital Art category. Each person that submitted entries for this show, was allowed to submit three entries. From all the entries, only 71 photographers/artists were accepted into the show and I was the only person to get all three of my images accepted into the show.
My entries are printed on metal and I really like how they turned out on the metal print.
