The mule deer buck was photographed during the Fall in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. RMNP is just west of Estes Park, Colorado. I saw this buck earlier in the year while he was still in velvet and I could see that he had a couple kicker points on his right antler. I was hoping to see what he looked like after shedding his velvet and I was lucky enough to see him again during the Fall after the velvet was gone and he had not damaged those points.
